Train
To reach Château de Tourbillon in Sion from Vevey, first, head to the Vevey train station (Gare de Vevey). You can walk there from the city center in about 10 minutes. Once at the station, buy a ticket to Sion. Trains run frequently, so check the schedule on the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) website or app. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Upon arriving at Sion station, exit the station and follow the signs towards the city center. You will see a path leading to the old town. Continue straight until you reach Place Maurice Zermatten, where Château de Tourbillon is located.
Bus
From Vevey, you can take a bus to Sion. Look for the bus stop near the Vevey train station, and take the bus route that heads to Sion. The bus ride typically takes about 40-50 minutes. Once you arrive at the Sion bus station, you can walk to Château de Tourbillon. Exit the bus station, and head towards the old town, following the signs. It’s a pleasant walk of about 15 minutes to Place Maurice Zermatten, where the castle is situated.
Bicycle
If you enjoy cycling, you can rent a bike in Vevey and ride to Sion. The distance is approximately 25 kilometers. Follow the bike paths along Lake Geneva heading east, then continue to Sion through the scenic Alpine routes. The ride will take around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. Upon reaching Sion, follow the signs to the old town and then to Place Maurice Zermatten to find Château de Tourbillon.
