Train
From Vevey train station, take the train towards Montreux. You will only travel one stop to Montreux. Once you arrive at Montreux, transfer to the train heading to Bulle. This train will take you directly to Gruyères. The entire journey should take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Gruyères station, it is a short walk (about 15 minutes) to the Gruyères castle and the charming village.
Bus
From the center of Vevey, head to the nearest bus stop (Vevey, Gare). Take the bus number 211 towards Bulle. This bus will take you to the Gruyères region. Get off at the Gruyères stop. The journey will take around 30-40 minutes, and from the bus stop, it is a short walk to the main attractions in Gruyères.
Walking + Train
If you prefer to walk, you can stroll to the Vevey train station. From there, take the train to Montreux (just one stop). Once at Montreux, switch to the train towards Bulle. Once you arrive in Gruyères, walk through the picturesque village to reach the Gruyères castle and other attractions. The total travel time will be approximately 1 hour including walking.
