Walking
From Wengen village center, head towards the Wengen train station. Take the path that leads down to the station and board the train heading towards Lauterbrunnen. The train ride takes approximately 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Lauterbrunnen station, exit the train and head towards the bus stop located just outside the station. Take the bus towards Stechelberg (bus number 141). The bus ride will take about 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Stechelberg, Schilthornbahn' stop. From there, you will begin your hike. Follow the marked hiking trails towards Hasenbach Falls. The hike will take around 30-40 minutes, and the falls will be visible as you approach. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes and bring water.
Combination of Train and Hiking
Start at Wengen and walk to the Wengen train station. Board the train to Lauterbrunnen, which takes about 15 minutes. After arriving at Lauterbrunnen, exit the train and follow the signs to the hiking trails that lead to Hasenbach Falls. The trail is well-marked and offers beautiful views along the way. Expect the hike to take roughly 1 hour depending on your pace. Ensure you have comfortable hiking shoes and a water bottle with you.
Taxi
For a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Wengen to Hasenbach Falls. However, please note that taxis may not be allowed directly to the falls due to the area’s regulations. It is advisable to ask the taxi driver to drop you off at a nearby hiking point, such as Stechelberg, from where you can hike to the falls. The taxi ride will take about 20 minutes and cost approximately 40-60 CHF. Always confirm the fare before starting your journey.
