Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, head towards Interlaken, which is a central hub in the Bernese Oberland region. From Interlaken, take the A8 motorway towards Lucerne. After approximately 10 minutes, exit at Bönigen and follow the signs to Lütschinenstrasse. The Beach - Strandbad Bönigen is located at Lütschinenstrasse 24, 3806 Bönigen. There is limited parking available, so make sure to arrive early during peak season.

• Train

  For those using public transportation, take a train from your location to Interlaken Ost (East). Trains are frequent and provide a scenic view of the region. Once at Interlaken Ost, transfer to bus line 21 heading towards Bönigen. Disembark at the Bönigen, Post stop. From there, it’s a short 5-minute walk to The Beach - Strandbad Bönigen located at Lütschinenstrasse 24. Make sure to check the current bus schedule as timings may vary.

• Bus

  If you are already within the vicinity of Bönigen, you can take local bus services that connect to the area. Bus line 21 from Interlaken Ost is the most direct route. Alternatively, check local schedules for other routes that may take you directly to Bönigen. Once you reach the Bönigen, Post stop, it is just a 5-minute walk to the beach. Keep in mind that a ticket for the bus costs approximately CHF 3-5, depending on your starting location.

• Walking

  If you are staying close to Bönigen, walking to The Beach - Strandbad Bönigen can be a pleasant option. The area is well-marked, and you can enjoy the scenic views of Lake Brienz along the way. Simply head towards Lütschinenstrasse, and you will find the beach at number 24. It’s a leisurely stroll that allows you to soak in the beautiful surroundings.
