Walking
If you are in the center of Zermatt, start by heading towards the main street, Bahnhofstrasse. Walk along Bahnhofstrasse until you reach the Zermatt train station. From the train station, take the regional train to Aosta. Once you arrive at Aosta, exit the train station and head towards the main square, Piazza Papa Giovanni XXIII. The Aosta Cathedral is located directly in the square, easily visible.
Train
From Zermatt train station, board a train heading towards Brig. At the Brig station, transfer to a train towards Aosta. This journey will take approximately 2 to 3 hours. Once you arrive in Aosta, follow the signs to exit the train station and make your way to Piazza Papa Giovanni XXIII, where Aosta Cathedral is located.
Bus
While buses are less common for direct routes from Zermatt to Aosta, you can take a local bus from Zermatt to Täsch. From Täsch, catch a train to Aosta. Once in Aosta, walk to Piazza Papa Giovanni XXIII, where the Aosta Cathedral is situated.
