Discovering the Majestic Creux de Nax

Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Zermatt, head towards the Gornergrat Bahn station located on Bahnhofstrasse. Walk straight along Bahnhofstrasse for about 10 minutes, passing various shops and cafes. Once you reach the Gornergrat Bahn station, you will find signs indicating public transport options. Take the train to Zermatt train station and transfer to the regional train heading to Sion. The train journey lasts approximately 1 hour. Upon arriving at Sion, exit the train station and follow the signs for local buses. Board Bus 1 towards 'Creux de Nax' and disembark at the stop named 'Creux de Nax'. The destination will be directly ahead.

• Train

  Start your journey at the Zermatt train station. Purchase a ticket for the regional train heading to Sion. The train departs regularly and the journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Sion, exit the train station and look for the bus terminal just outside the station. Take Bus 1 towards 'Creux de Nax' and get off at the 'Creux de Nax' bus stop. The destination is right in front of you.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Zermatt to Creux de Nax. Taxis are available throughout Zermatt. Just inform the driver that you want to go to 'Creux de Nax' in Sion. The drive will take approximately 1 hour, and while it is more expensive than public transport, it provides a comfortable option directly to your destination.

• Bus

  From Zermatt, first make your way to the Zermatt train station. There are direct buses available that go to Sion. Look for the bus schedule at the station and ensure you catch the correct bus heading towards Sion. Once you arrive at Sion, you will need to transfer to Bus 1 towards 'Creux de Nax'. After a short ride, disembark at the 'Creux de Nax' bus stop which will be your final destination.
