Tram
If you are starting from Zurich Hauptbahnhof (Zurich HB), take tram line 6 or 10 from the tram stop just outside the main station. Board the tram in the direction of 'Bahnhofplatz/HB'. After 2 stops, get off at 'Central' tram stop. From the tram stop, walk straight towards the large intersection, and you will see the entrance to the Central Polybahn funicular railway on your right, just a short walk down the street.

If you are near the University of Zurich or ETH Zurich, you can walk to Central Polybahn. Head towards the main entrance of ETH Zurich, then continue walking down the hill towards the 'Central' tram stop. The entrance to Central Polybahn will be on your left, just past the tram stop.

If you are near the 'Bahnhofquai/HB' area, you can take bus line 33 or 72. Board the bus at the bus stop and ride for 2 stops until you reach 'Central'. When you disembark, look for the signs directing you to the Central Polybahn, which will be a short walk from the bus stop.
