Josefwiese is a neighborhood park in Zurich-West, not a monument or formal garden. Planned as a Volkspark in the early 1920s, it was designed for everyday recreation and has changed little in appearance since then. That purpose still defines the place: people come here to sit on the grass, eat outdoors, let children play, or use the sports areas for a short, low-key break from the city.
