The island location gives it a clear sense of place, and the historic fortification background adds context without turning the visit into a museum stop. It is less useful if you are looking for a long attraction visit, but it works well as a short, memorable pause between the Bahnhofstrasse, the old town, and the lakeside.

The island layout is central and convenient, but it is still an outdoor venue, so rain, wind, and cold quickly reduce its appeal.
