From any location in Zurich West, head to the nearest tram stop. If you're near the Hardplatz stop, take Tram 4 in the direction of 'Tiefenbrunnen'. After 4 stops, get off at 'HB' (Hauptbahnhof). From there, transfer to Tram 6 towards 'Zoo'. Ride for 3 stops and disembark at 'Burghölzli'. After getting off, walk towards General-Guisan-Quai, which is approximately a 10-minute walk straight ahead.

If you are closer to a bus stop, take Bus 31 from 'Hardplatz' towards 'Zürich, Bahnhofquai/HB'. After 3 stops, get off at 'Zürich, Bahnhofquai/HB'. From there, walk towards the tram station and follow the previous tram instructions, or you can walk directly along the river to General-Guisan-Quai, which takes about 15-20 minutes.

If you're already in the vicinity of General-Guisan-Quai, you can simply walk to Rotes Schloss. Head towards the riverfront and follow the path along the water. The castle will be visible as you approach. It's about a 15-minute walk from the center of Zurich West.
