  • Car Rental

    If you're traveling by rental car, start from the city of Dushanbe. Take the A-37 highway heading east towards the town of Sari-Tagh. After approximately 90 km, you will reach the fork at the village of Qurgonteppa. Here, take the right turn towards the A-373 road, which leads to the Iskanderkul area. Continue on this road for about 50 km until you see signs for Iskanderkul Lake. The road to Iskanderkul will turn into a gravel path. Be cautious as the last few kilometers may be bumpy and winding, but the views are spectacular.

  • Public Transportation (Minibus)

    From Dushanbe, you can take a minibus (called 'marshrutka') to the town of Qurgonteppa. The marshrutkas leave from the southern bus station in Dushanbe. Look for a marshrutka heading to Qurgonteppa, which costs approximately 15 TJS. Once you reach Qurgonteppa, transfer to a local taxi or a second minibus heading to Iskanderkul. The local taxi may cost around 200 TJS, and you can share the ride with other travelers to reduce costs. The journey from Qurgonteppa to Iskanderkul is about 40 km.
