Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Tursunzoda, start by heading southeast on the main road, which is called 'Tursunzoda Street'. Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with 'A. Jomi Street'. Turn right onto A. Jomi Street and walk for another 800 meters. At the end of A. Jomi Street, you will come to a small roundabout. Go straight through the roundabout onto 'M. Tursunzoda Street'. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will see signs indicating the direction to Qurgonteppa. Follow the signs and keep walking straight for approximately 2 kilometers. You will eventually reach the outskirts of Qurgonteppa. The Buddhistic cloister of Ajina-Tepa is located on your left side after you enter Qurgonteppa, just about 300 meters from the entrance of the town.

    From Tursunzoda, make your way to the nearest bus stop located at the city center. Look for a bus heading towards Qurgonteppa; these buses frequently depart from the central station. Once you board the bus, inform the driver that you want to stop at the Ajina-Tepa area. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes, depending on traffic. After arriving in Qurgonteppa, disembark at the designated stop and walk approximately 300 meters towards the left side of the road. You should see signs directing you to the Buddhistic cloister of Ajina-Tepa, which is about a 5-minute walk from the bus stop.
