If you're traveling by car, start your journey from Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan. Head southeast on the M41 highway towards Nurek. It's approximately a 70 km drive, which will take around 1.5 hours. Follow the signs for Nurek until you reach the town of Nurek. As you approach Nurek, you will see the stunning blue waters of the Nurek Reservoir on your left. There are several viewpoints along the road where you can stop to take photos of the reservoir.
