If you are starting from the Arusha Central Market, exit the market and head southeast on Boma Road. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the junction with Old Moshi Road. At the junction, turn left onto Old Moshi Road and walk for another 500 meters. You will see Uhuru Monument on your right, just past the junction with Amani Road.
