Getting There

  • Bicycle

    If you are in the city center, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops. Head east on Samora Avenue towards the coast. When you reach the ocean, continue north on the coastal road (Ocean Road) for about 5 kilometers. You'll pass several shops and local eateries along the way. Keep an eye out for the entrance to Water World on your right, just past the intersection with Mikocheni Road.

  • Walking

    If you are close to the city center, start by walking to the nearest bus stop on Samora Avenue. Take a local bus heading towards Mwenge. Once you reach Mwenge, exit the bus and walk north along Mwenge Road. After about 1 kilometer, you will reach the intersection with Mikocheni Road. Turn right onto Mikocheni Road, and continue walking for about 500 meters until you see Water World on your left.

  • Public Transport (Daladala)

    From the city center, find a daladala (local minibus) heading towards Mikocheni. The fare is usually very affordable. Inform the conductor that you wish to get off at Mikocheni. Once you arrive, walk down Mikocheni Road for about 500 meters. Water World will be on your left side, just after the junction with Mwenge Road.

  • Taxi (Boda Boda)

    You can also hire a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) from anywhere within Dar es Salaam. Just tell the driver you want to go to Water World. They are familiar with the location and can take you directly there. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey to avoid any misunderstandings.
