Start at the central area of Dar es Salaam, such as the Kariakoo Market. Head south on Mkwajuni Road towards the coast. Continue along the waterfront, enjoying the views. After around 3 km, you will reach the area near the Old Lighthouse, which is located at 58H3+G4J, Ferrymtakuja. The lighthouse is visible from the coastal road.

If you are starting from the Dar es Salaam ferry terminal, walk south along Sokoine Drive. Continue straight until you reach the coast. Once you are near the water, turn left and walk along the shore. The Old Lighthouse is approximately 1.5 km from the ferry terminal, located at 58H3+G4J, Ferrymtakuja. It is an easy and scenic walk.
