Start from the center of Iringa town, near the main market (Soko la Mjini). Head east on Mkwawa Street until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Nguvumali Road, which is well-marked. Continue on Nguvumali Road for about 3 kilometers, passing through local shops and homes. You may encounter some hills, so be prepared for a bit of an uphill walk. After 3 kilometers, look for the sign directing you to Isimila Waterfall on your left. Follow the sign and walk approximately another 2 kilometers down a dirt path until you reach the waterfall.

If you have access to a bicycle, rent one from a local shop in Iringa. Start at the main market and ride east along Mkwawa Street. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Nguvumali Road. This route is relatively flat and safe for cyclists. Continue for about 5 kilometers, and you will see signs for Isimila Waterfall. Follow the signs to the dirt path leading to the waterfall, which is about 2 kilometers from the main road. Make sure to wear a helmet and stay hydrated.

To reach Isimila Waterfall via public transport, find a Dala Dala (shared taxi) heading towards Ruaha National Park from the Iringa Dala Dala station. The fare is usually very affordable.
