Getting There

Walking
Starting from the Iringa town center, head south towards the main road (Mtera Road). Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Iringa-Dodoma highway (A104). At this junction, you will see a signpost indicating the direction to Ruaha National Park. Turn left onto the A104 highway and walk along the roadside. After approximately 2 kilometers, look for a small trail leading off the highway on your right. This trail will take you towards The Iringa Canyon. Follow the trail for about 1 kilometer, and you will arrive at The Iringa Canyon, which is marked by a scenic viewpoint.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Iringa town. Start from the town center and head south towards Mtera Road. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the A104 highway junction. Turn left onto the A104 highway and cycle for about 2 kilometers while keeping an eye out for a small trail on your right that leads towards The Iringa Canyon. Turn onto this trail, and after cycling for another kilometer, you will reach the canyon’s viewpoint.

Motorbike Taxi (Boda Boda)
From any point in Iringa, you can hire a motorbike taxi (Boda Boda) to The Iringa Canyon. Inform the driver to take you to the junction of the A104 highway. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you reach the junction, ask the driver to drop you off at the starting point of the trail leading to The Iringa Canyon. From there, it is a short walk along the trail (about 1 kilometer) to the canyon viewpoint.
