Walking
From the center of Kigoma, head towards the main road (A104). Walk north along the A104 until you reach the junction with the B6 road. This should take about 15-20 minutes. Once you reach the junction, turn left onto the B6 road. Continue walking along this road for about 1.5 kilometers, keeping an eye out for local landmarks such as shops and cafes to ensure you're on the right track. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you'll see a sign for Mlole Hill on your right. Take this turn, and follow the path leading uphill for about 500 meters until you reach the top of Mlole Hill, where you can enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding area.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from the center of Kigoma and cycle north along the A104 road. It will take about 10-15 minutes to reach the junction with the B6 road. At this junction, turn left onto the B6 road and continue cycling for about 1.5 kilometers. Look out for local stores and signs to confirm you're heading in the right direction. After cycling for 1.5 kilometers, take the right turn at the sign for Mlole Hill. Follow the path uphill for about 500 meters to reach the summit of Mlole Hill, which offers panoramic views of Kigoma.
Local transport (boda-boda)
From your location in Kigoma, you can hire a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you to Mlole Hill. Simply ask the boda-boda driver to take you to the junction of the B6 road. This should take about 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you reach the junction, tell the driver to drop you off at the sign for Mlole Hill. From there, it's a short walk of about 500 meters uphill to the top of the hill, where you'll find great views and a chance to enjoy the natural scenery.
