    If you are traveling by car, start from Sumbawanga, which is the closest major town. From Sumbawanga, take the Tunduma - Sumbawanga road (B1) heading towards Tunduma. After approximately 40 kilometers, look for signs to Kalambo Falls and turn onto the access road. You will drive about 12 kilometers on this road, which may not be well-marked, but it will lead you directly to the parking area near the falls. Please note that road conditions can vary, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended, especially during the rainy season.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, take a bus from Sumbawanga to Tunduma. The journey typically takes about 1 hour and costs around 5,000 TZS. Once you arrive in Tunduma, you will need to hire a private taxi or motorbike taxi (boda-boda) to take you to Kalambo Falls. The distance from Tunduma to the falls is approximately 12 kilometers, and this taxi ride usually costs around 15,000 TZS. Ensure you negotiate the fare beforehand and confirm that they know the way to Kalambo Falls.
