Walking
From the center of Mbeya, start at the Mbeya Bus Terminal. Head south on Mlowo Road, walking towards the main road. Continue straight until you reach the B345 road, which leads towards Chunya. Once you reach the B345, turn left and continue walking. Follow the B345 for about 10 km. You will pass by local villages and beautiful landscapes along the way. Keep an eye out for signposts indicating the Chunya Road View Point. As you approach the view point, you’ll see a small path leading off the road to the left. Follow this path, and it will lead you directly to Chunya Road View Point.
Bicycle
If you're comfortable riding a bicycle, start at the Mbeya Bus Terminal and head south on Mlowo Road. After about 1 km, you will reach the B345 road. Turn left onto the B345, and continue cycling for approximately 10 km. The road is relatively flat, making it a pleasant ride. As you get closer to the Chunya Road View Point, look for a small dirt path on your left that leads to the viewpoint. Secure your bicycle at a nearby spot before walking to the viewpoint.
Public Transport
To reach Chunya Road View Point via public transport, start from the Mbeya Bus Terminal. Look for a daladala (minibus) heading towards Chunya or a nearby village along the B345 route. Inform the driver that you want to stop at the Chunya Road View Point. The trip should take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the closest stop, walk a short distance along the B345 until you find the small path leading to the viewpoint on your left. Follow the path to reach the scenic view.
