From Mikumi National Park, start by heading south on the highway towards Morogoro. Drive approximately 40 kilometers until you reach the town of Morogoro. This drive should take around 45 minutes. Once in Morogoro, follow the signs towards the Uluguru Mountains. The main road will lead you to the base of the mountains. You may need to ask locals for the best routes to the hiking trails, as the area is well known for its beautiful scenery.

If you prefer public transportation, take a daladala (minibus) from Mikumi to Morogoro. The fare is usually around 3,000 TZS (~1.30 USD). Once you arrive in Morogoro, you can take another daladala or a taxi to the base of the Uluguru Mountains. The cost for a taxi from Morogoro to the Uluguru Mountains is approximately 10,000-15,000 TZS (~4-6 USD). Make sure to confirm the price before starting your trip.
