Walking
Start at the Morogoro town center. Head southeast on Uhuru Street towards Mji Mpya Road. Continue straight until you reach the junction with A7 road. Turn left onto A7 road and follow it for approximately 20 kilometers. As you proceed, you will enjoy scenic views of the surrounding landscape. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Mikumi National Park, as Choma Waterfalls is located within the park area. Once you reach the entrance of Mikumi National Park, you may need to pay a small entrance fee. After entering the park, follow the signs to Choma Waterfalls, which is about 5 kilometers inside the park. The waterfall is a popular spot, so there should be clear paths leading to it.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the shops in Morogoro town. Start your journey by cycling southeast on Uhuru Street towards Mji Mpya Road. Continue until you reach the A7 road intersection. Turn left onto A7 and cycle along the road for approximately 20 kilometers. The ride is pleasant with views of the countryside. Look for signs that indicate the way to Mikumi National Park. Upon reaching the park entrance, pay the entrance fee and follow the designated paths to Choma Waterfalls, which is about 5 kilometers from the entrance.
Public Transport (Dala Dala)
From Morogoro town, find the Dala Dala station located near the central market. Look for a Dala Dala heading to Mikumi. Board the Dala Dala and enjoy the ride, which takes around 30-45 minutes. Inform the driver that you want to go to Mikumi National Park. Once you arrive at the park entrance, pay the entrance fee. After entering the park, you can either walk or hire a local guide to take you to Choma Waterfalls, which is about 5 kilometers inside the park.
