Getting There

Walking
From the center of Morogoro, head east on Mji Mpya Street towards the Morogoro Municipal Office. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Uhuru Street. Turn left onto Uhuru Street and walk until you reach the Morogoro Bus Terminal. From there, you can take a local bus or bicycle taxi (piki piki) towards the Uluguru Mountains. Inform the driver that you want to go to Uluguru. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes, and you will be dropped off near the base of the mountains.

If you prefer to use public transport, from Morogoro town center, walk to the Morogoro Bus Terminal and look for a bus heading towards the Uluguru Mountains or nearby villages. Ask locals or the bus conductor for the best bus to take. Once on the bus, pay your fare and enjoy the scenic ride. Disembark at the closest stop to Uluguru, which will be announced by the conductor. From there, you may need to walk a short distance towards your final destination.

You can also hire a bicycle taxi (piki piki) from anywhere in Morogoro. Simply flag down a piki piki and tell the rider you want to go to Uluguru. They are familiar with the area and can take you directly to the base of the mountains. Make sure to agree on a fare before starting your journey.
