Walking
Start at the Morogoro bus station, which is located in the center of Morogoro. From the bus station, head south on the main road (Uhuru Street) for about 1 kilometer until you reach the junction at the Morogoro Market. Turn left onto the road leading to Mzumbe University. Continue walking straight for approximately 3 kilometers until you see a sign for the Tangeni waterfalls trail on your right. Follow this trail for about 1.5 kilometers, which will take you through a forested area. As you approach the waterfall, you will hear the sound of rushing water. The Tangeni waterfalls are located at the coordinates 3J2F+964, Morogoro.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Morogoro. Begin your journey from the Morogoro bus station and ride south on Uhuru Street. After about 1 kilometer, turn left at the Morogoro Market junction onto the road to Mzumbe University. Continue cycling for approximately 3 kilometers. Look for the sign indicating the Tangeni waterfalls trail on your right. Follow the trail, which is about 1.5 kilometers long through the forest. You will soon arrive at the stunning Tangeni waterfalls.
Public Transport (Dala Dala)
From the Morogoro bus station, take a dala dala (shared minibus) heading towards Mzumbe University. The fare is usually very affordable. Inform the driver that you want to stop at the Tangeni waterfalls trail. After about 15-20 minutes, the driver will drop you off near the trailhead. From there, walk along the marked path for roughly 1.5 kilometers to reach the Tangeni waterfalls.
