Getting There

Walking
Start from the center of Moshi, particularly from the Clock Tower. Head southeast on Uhuru Street for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with Mweka Road. Turn left onto Mweka Road and continue walking for approximately 2 kilometers. You will pass by various local shops and the Moshi market. Keep an eye out for signs indicating the direction to Rau Forest Reserve. After 2 kilometers, you should see a pathway leading into the forest on your right. Follow this path for another 500 meters, and you will arrive at the entrance to Rau Forest Reserve.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Moshi, preferably around the Clock Tower area. Start from the Clock Tower, heading southeast on Uhuru Street. After about 1.5 kilometers, turn left onto Mweka Road. Continue on Mweka Road for approximately 2 kilometers. Watch for signs directing you to Rau Forest Reserve. As you approach, you will see a pathway leading to the forest on your right. Take this path and cycle for about 500 meters to reach the entrance of Rau Forest Reserve.

Motorbike Taxi (Boda Boda)
From your location in Moshi, you can easily hail a motorbike taxi (Boda Boda). Inform the driver that you want to go to Rau Forest Reserve. They will likely know the way, but you can guide them by saying to head towards Mweka Road. The driver will take you along Uhuru Street, then onto Mweka Road, and finally drop you off at the entrance to the forest after approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic.
