Walking
If you are in the city center of Mwanza, start at the Mwanza Railway Station. From there, head east on Mwaloni Road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Nkrumah Road. Turn left onto Nkrumah Road and continue for another 500 meters. You will pass by various shops and local eateries. Once you reach the roundabout, take the first exit onto the road leading towards the waterfront. After about 300 meters, you will see the MV Bukoba Monument located near the shore, recognized by its iconic structure. You can easily spot it as it’s a prominent historical landmark.

Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle, start from the Mwanza Market area. Head towards Kenyatta Road and cycle south for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with Mwaloni Road. Turn right onto Mwaloni Road and continue for approximately 1 kilometer. When you reach the intersection with Nkrumah Road, turn left and cycle for another 500 meters. The MV Bukoba Monument will be on your right, close to the waterfront, easily visible from the road.

Public Transport (Daladala)
To reach the MV Bukoba Monument using public transport, find a daladala (minibus) that goes towards the Mwanza waterfront. Board the daladala from any of the major stops, such as the Mwanza Market. Inform the conductor that you wish to get off at the waterfront, which is about a 15-minute ride. Once you disembark, walk towards the water, and you will see the MV Bukoba Monument a short distance ahead, a landmark you cannot miss.
