7 Days Lemosho Route Multiday Tour
Reliable, excellent value for money
We've done 7d lemosho between 08-14.09. There were 5 of us (climbers) and the crew size was 23: - 15 regular porters - 1 tent porter - 2 summit porters - 1 waiter - 1 cook - 2 side assistant guides (Conrad & Mwana) - 1 head guide (Isack) The quality of rented equipment could be better. Some zippers in sleeping bags failed, but that was expected. In general it's good idea to bring as much of your own stuff as possible. If I'd do this next time, I'd consider chip-in for chemical toilet. Public toilets were more challenging than the majority of the trek (except for summit night:D) The food was OK, shoutouts to John! The only time we felt little hungry was the summit night. We lacked some extra snacks and tea but it's fine. Guides and porters did a good job. There was a fire otw to shira 2 camp and we managed to walk it around. We didn't have troubles in communicating our daily needs. The only uncomfortable part was the tipping ceremony. As young adults we precisely calculated our trip budget given information from Charlie. The information we got was that expected rate is 15% of the total cost per person. This is what we prepared, even a bit more cause we really appreciated the work of the crew. 1 hour before the ceremony we got information that there are presumably minimal rates based on the role of crew member. Taking those into account would mean 21% which is quite a big increase. As an anti-fan of tipping in general, I assumed it was a rip-off trial, but turns out in other agencies it's the same thing. It's just not transparent, because then it's easier to manipulate the customer. To support this claim, consider the fact that amounts you give are read out loud in front of the whole crew during the ceremony... We ended up giving something in the middle which was seen rather unfavorably:/ I do not come from the wealthiest country in the world and I'm against such shady practices.

8-Day Hiking Tour Lemosho Route in Tanzania
An Experience That Surpassed Every Expectation ”
From the moment I first connected with Kilimanjaro Guru to the final descent from the summit, this 8-day trek exceeded every expectation I had. Climbing Kilimanjaro is something you prepare for mentally, but what you don’t fully appreciate beforehand is how much the right team shapes the entire experience. The organisation was spot-on, the communication clear, and every detail thoughtfully handled. Our guides were exceptional — calm, attentive, knowledgeable, and deeply encouraging. They had an extraordinary ability to read our body language, knowing when to encourage gently and when to slow the pace. I always felt safe, supported and completely confident in their judgment. The daily health checks were thorough, and their professionalism never wavered. The porters and camp crew were nothing short of remarkable. The camps were set up before we arrived, the tents were comfortable, and the meals were far beyond what I imagined possible at altitude — varied, nourishing and beautifully prepared. The warmth, kindness and quiet strength of the team left a lasting impression on me. Summit night was tough — as it should be — but the support I received made all the difference. Reaching Uhuru Peak was deeply emotional, and I can honestly say I felt carried there not only by my own effort, but by the spirit and encouragement of the entire crew. Kilimanjaro Guru delivers far more than a trek. They deliver professionalism, integrity, genuine care, and an experience that stays with you long after you leave Tanzania. If you are considering climbing Kilimanjaro, I would recommend them without hesitation. They turned a challenge into something truly extraordinary.

Lemosho Route Private 8 Day Kilimanjaro Minivan Tour
Amazing views, great team, outstanding food!
The route was extremely beautiful and the entire crew was very attentive, very kind and always with a smile! Our guides - Jackson and Nicolas were great - very careful, setting up the perfect pace for us, talkative and understanding - whenever someone needed something, they were always there to provide! Our chef Hillary was out of this world - the food was extremely delicious and we got a great variety - never ate the same meal twice! Huge kudos to Simon as well who we spent more time with, and to the rest of the crew for all of their hard work! Highly recommend Lemosho - very beautiful with different scenery every day. Either 7 or 8 days on tents would be perfect for any hiking lover. I’d say 6 days might be a bit trickier in terms of acclimatisation, especially if you haven’t tested yourself on higher altitudes before. In our case none of us had any symptoms, and we went perfect during the entire treck, but we are all experienced hikers.
