If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Arusha, which is the nearest major city to Mt Meru. Head southeast on the B1 road towards Usa River. After approximately 20 kilometers, turn left onto the A104 road. Continue on this road for around 10 kilometers. You will reach the entrance to the Mt Meru National Park. Be prepared to pay an entrance fee of about $30 USD for non-residents. Once inside, follow the signs to the various trailheads depending on your hiking plans.

Public Transportation (Dala Dala)
For those using public transportation, take a Dala Dala (shared minibus) from Arusha to Usa River. The fare is usually around 1,000 TZS (Tanzanian Shillings). Once you reach Usa River, you can catch another Dala Dala heading towards the Mt Meru National Park entrance. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the park entrance, where you will need to pay an entrance fee of about $30 USD for non-residents.
