Car
If you are driving from Iringa, take the A104 road towards Ruaha National Park. Once you reach the park entrance, pay the park entrance fee (approximately $30 for foreign tourists). Continue along the main road through the park until you reach the Ruaha River. From the river, follow the signs towards Sanje Falls. The last stretch to the falls is a dirt road; be cautious as it can be bumpy. Park your car at the designated area near the falls, and prepare for a short hike to the viewing point.
Public Transportation
From Iringa, catch a bus heading to Ruaha National Park. Ask the driver to drop you off at the closest point to Sanje Falls. Once you arrive, you may need to hire a local guide or a motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) to take you the remaining distance to the falls. Be sure to negotiate the fare beforehand, typically around $5-10, depending on the distance. Upon arrival, there will be a small fee to access the falls area, usually around $5.
Guided Tour
Consider booking a guided tour from Iringa or within the Ruaha National Park. These tours often include transportation, park fees, and a guide who will take you to Sanje Falls. This option is convenient for tourists unfamiliar with the area and typically costs around $100-200 per person, depending on the inclusions.
