Getting There

Car

If you are driving from Mbeya, head towards the A104 road heading northeast. Continue on A104 until you reach the junction with the A7 road. Take the A7 road towards the north, which will take you through beautiful landscapes. After approximately 2 hours, you will reach the town of Njombe. From Njombe, follow signs to the A104 and continue until you reach the city of Iringa. In Iringa, take the B2 road heading east towards Dodoma. This road will lead you to the city of Morogoro. From Morogoro, you will need to take a bus or a taxi to Dar es Salaam, where you can catch a ferry to Zanzibar. Once in Zanzibar, navigate to Mizingani Rd in Stone Town, where Old Fort is located.

From any location in the Southern Highlands, you can take a bus to either Mbeya or Iringa, depending on your proximity. Buses from Njombe, for example, go to Mbeya regularly.
