Walking
From the Forodhani Gardens in Stone Town, head southeast along the waterfront, taking in the views of the ocean. Continue walking along the coast until you reach the Old Fort (Ngome Kongwe). Turn left onto Kenyatta Road, which will lead you away from the coast. Follow Kenyatta Road until you come to the intersection with Karume Road. Turn right onto Karume Road. The Karume Monument will be located on your left side after a short walk.

If you are starting from the Darajani Market, head southwest on Mkunazini Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Kenyatta Road. Turn left onto Kenyatta Road and walk until you reach Karume Road. Turn right, and the Karume Monument will be on your left side shortly after.

From the House of Wonders (Beit-al-Ajaib), exit and head east on Mizingani Road towards the waterfront. Take a left onto Kenyatta Road and walk straight until you reach the junction with Karume Road. Turn left onto Karume Road, and the monument will be a short distance ahead on your left.
