Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Stone Town, head east towards the beach. Walk along the seafront promenade, enjoying the view of the ocean. Continue walking until you reach the 'Forodhani Gardens'. At this point, turn left onto 'Mizingani Road' and walk along this road for about 10 minutes. You will pass the Old Fort on your right. After passing the Old Fort, keep walking straight until you reach a small intersection. Here, turn right onto 'Jamatini Street'. Follow this street until you reach another intersection, then turn left onto 'Kisima St'. Keep walking straight, and you will find Livingstone House located at R6R2+MW7, Zanzibar on your left.

    If you are near the Darajani Market, exit the market and head south on 'Mkunazini Street'. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with 'Mizingani Road'. Turn left onto Mizingani Road and continue straight until you reach the intersection with 'Jamatini Street'. Turn right on Jamatini Street, and then take a left at the next intersection onto 'Kisima St'. Continue straight, and you'll arrive at Livingstone House on your left at R6R2+MW7, Zanzibar.
