Car Rental
If you have rented a car, head towards the northern part of Zanzibar City. Start on the Zanzibar Urban West Road (A1) and follow the signs toward Nungwi. After approximately 50 km, you will reach a fork in the road; take the left branch toward Matemwe. Continue driving until you reach Matemwe, then follow the coastal road south for about 10 km until you see signs for Selem Beach. The beach is located at W6P4+5H, Zanzibar.

To reach Selem Beach via public transport, take a Dala Dala (shared minibus) from the main bus terminal in Zanzibar City. Look for the Dala Dala heading to Matemwe; the fare is approximately 2,000 TZS (Tanzanian Shillings). The journey takes around 1 hour. Once you arrive in Matemwe, you can catch another Dala Dala heading towards Nungwi or Matemwe beach for about 1,000 TZS. Inform the driver to drop you off at Selem Beach. The beach is a short walk from the main road.
