If you are renting a car, start from Stone Town. Head northeast on Mkunazini Street, then turn left onto the Nyerere Road. Continue on this road for about 50 minutes until you reach the junction with the B1 road. Follow the signs for Nungwi. After about 30 minutes, turn right onto a smaller road that should lead you directly to the Tortoise Sanctuary. Be mindful of the local speed limits and watch for pedestrians.

Hire a taxi from your location in Zanzibar. Simply tell the driver you want to go to the Tortoise Sanctuary, located at V5J8+5JQ, Zanzibar.
