Car
If you are driving, begin your journey towards Forbidden Caverns from any location within the Appalachian Mountains. Navigate to US-441 S. If you are coming from Gatlinburg, take US-441 S for about 12 miles. Continue on US-441 S until you reach Sevierville. Once in Sevierville, look for the intersection with Blowing Cave Rd. Turn left onto Blowing Cave Rd. Continue for approximately 1 mile, and you will see Forbidden Caverns on your right at 455 Blowing Cave Rd, Sevierville, TN 37876. Parking is available on-site, and there is no additional cost for parking.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, your best option is to take a Greyhound or local bus service to Sevierville. Once you arrive at the Sevierville bus station, you will need to use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft to reach Forbidden Caverns. It is approximately a 15-minute ride (about 5 miles). Expect to pay around $10 to $15 for the rideshare service. Alternatively, check local taxi services for transportation if rideshare is not available.
Bicycle
For those adventurous enough to bike, you can start your journey on the scenic roads of the Appalachian area. Use US-441 S as your main route to Sevierville. Be sure to wear a helmet and follow traffic laws. The ride from Gatlinburg to Forbidden Caverns is approximately 12 miles, which can take about an hour or more, depending on your pace. Once you reach Sevierville, follow the same route as described for cars to reach Forbidden Caverns. Make sure to carry sufficient water and snacks for your journey.
