If you are starting from downtown Chattanooga, head to the nearest bus stop and catch the CARTA bus line 4 (East Brainerd). Make sure to check the schedule for the bus times. Ride the bus until you reach the stop at Holtzclaw Ave. and 3rd St. (approximately a 20-minute ride). Once you get off the bus, walk north on Holtzclaw Ave. for about 0.5 miles. The Chattanooga Zoo will be on your left at 301 N Holtzclaw Ave.

If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bicycle from one of the bike-sharing stations around downtown Chattanooga. From the station, head east on 7th St towards Broad St. and then take a left onto Broad St. Continue on Broad St. until you reach 4th St. Take a right onto 4th St. and follow it all the way to Holtzclaw Ave. Turn left onto Holtzclaw Ave. and the zoo will be on your right at 301 N Holtzclaw Ave. The ride should take approximately 15-20 minutes.

If you are close enough to walk, start at the Chattanooga Riverwalk. Walk northeast towards the city center. Continue on Riverfront Pkwy until it turns into 4th St. Follow 4th St. until you reach Holtzclaw Ave. Turn left onto Holtzclaw Ave. and walk about 0.6 miles. The Chattanooga Zoo will be located at 301 N Holtzclaw Ave. This walk will take around 25-30 minutes.
