Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from downtown Clarksville, head southwest on Franklin Street toward 1st Street. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Riverside Drive. Turn left onto Riverside Drive and walk along the river for approximately 0.3 miles. Look for the signs pointing toward Fort Defiance. When you reach the intersection with Duncan Street, turn right. Fort Defiance Civil War Park & Interpretive Center will be on your left at 120 Duncan St.

  • Public Transit (Bus)

    From the Clarksville Transit System's main hub at 101 N 2nd Street, take the Route 6 bus toward Fort Campbell. Ride for about 20 minutes and get off at the stop on Riverside Drive near Duncan Street. From there, walk east on Duncan Street for about 300 feet. Fort Defiance Civil War Park & Interpretive Center will be on your right at 120 Duncan St.
