Car

From Fall Creek Falls State Park, start by heading north on Park Road towards TN-284. After about 3.5 miles, turn left onto TN-284 S. Continue on TN-284 for approximately 4 miles, then turn right onto Cummins Falls Road. Follow the road for about 1 mile until you reach the parking area for Cummins Falls State Park. Note: There is a fee of $6 for parking, which can be paid at the entrance.
Public Transportation

Public transportation options are limited in this rural area. The closest public transportation service is the Upper Cumberland Public Transportation System (UCPTS). You will need to arrange for a ride to the nearest bus stop, which is in Cookeville, TN. From there, take the bus towards Baxter, TN, and request to be dropped off at the intersection with TN-280. You can then hitch a ride or walk approximately 1.5 miles to Cummins Falls. Please check the UCPTS schedule in advance as it may not run frequently.
Hiking

If you are already near the Cummins Falls area and prefer to hike, there is a trail that leads directly to the falls from the parking area. From the parking lot, follow the marked trail that descends to the gorge. The trail is about 0.5 miles long and can be steep in some sections, so be sure to wear sturdy shoes.
