If you are traveling by car, begin your journey on the interstate highway in East Tennessee. For example, if you are coming from Chattanooga, take I-75 N towards Knoxville. After approximately 120 miles, take exit 388 for I-40 E toward Asheville. Continue on I-40 E for about 5 miles, then take exit 388A for US-441 N toward downtown Knoxville. Follow signs for US-441 N, which will be called Broadway St. as you approach downtown. Turn left onto W Summit Hill Dr SW, and Old City Hall will be on your right. There is street parking available; however, be mindful of any parking meters or time restrictions.

If you prefer public transportation, start by locating the nearest bus station in your area. The Knoxville Area Transit (KAT) provides several routes that service downtown Knoxville. For instance, if you are in the University of Tennessee area, you can catch the ROUTE 11 bus (Gatlin Ave) towards downtown Knoxville. Get off at the stop near the Knoxville Station, then walk about 0.3 miles (approximately a 7-minute walk) to Old City Hall. Head south on S Gay St toward W Summit Hill Dr SW, and turn left onto W Summit Hill Dr SW. Old City Hall will be on your right. Note that bus fares are typically $1.00 for a single ride.
