From Franklin, walk to the nearest bus stop that services the Franklin Transit Authority. You can take the Route 1 bus toward Nashville. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at the intersection of Highway 96 and Highway 431. From there, transfer to a Route 2 bus heading toward Kingston Springs. Ride the bus until you reach the Kingston Springs stop. Once you disembark, walk 0.5 miles southwest on Narrows of the Harpeth Rd, and you will arrive at Harpeth River State Park.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Franklin. Start at the Franklin Square and head west on Main Street. Continue to follow the signs for the Natchez Trace Parkway, where you can ride for approximately 9 miles. Turn left onto Narrows of the Harpeth Rd and continue for about 2 miles. The entrance to Harpeth River State Park will be on your right.

If you're feeling adventurous and want to walk, start from downtown Franklin. Head north on 1st Avenue N toward Columbia Ave. Continue on Columbia Ave for about 6 miles. At the fork, take the left onto Hwy 431. After about a mile, turn right onto Narrows of the Harpeth Rd. Walk for about 1 mile, and you will reach Harpeth River State Park, located on your left.
