Walking
Start at the Harpeth River Park, located at 1025 Hillsboro Rd, Franklin, TN 37064. Head south on Hillsboro Rd for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Franklin Rd. Turn right onto Franklin Rd and walk for approximately 1 mile. You will pass by several shops and restaurants. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Mack Hatcher Memorial Pkwy. The Natchez Trace Parkway sign is located at the entrance of the Parkway, just ahead on your left.

Biking
If you have access to a bike, start at the downtown Franklin area, specifically the Franklin Square. From there, bike west on Main St for about 0.7 miles until you reach the intersection with Hillsboro Rd. Turn left onto Hillsboro Rd and continue biking for another 0.5 miles. You will eventually reach Franklin Rd. Turn right and proceed for about 1 mile until you see the entrance to Natchez Trace Parkway on your left. The sign is located right at the entrance.

If you prefer public transportation, take the Franklin Transit bus (Route 1) from the Franklin Transit Center located at 108 2nd Ave S, Franklin, TN 37064. Board the bus heading towards the Park & Ride. Get off at the stop near Franklin Rd and Mack Hatcher Memorial Pkwy. From there, walk about 0.2 miles northwest on Franklin Rd, and you will find the Natchez Trace Parkway sign at the entrance on your left.
