Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from downtown Franklin, head north on Main Street towards West 2nd Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Columbia Avenue (US-31). Turn left onto Columbia Avenue and walk for about 0.5 miles. Cross the bridge over the Harpeth River, and keep walking straight as Columbia Avenue turns into 3rd Avenue South. Continue on 3rd Avenue South until you reach the Tennessee State Capitol at 600 Dr. M.L.K. Jr Blvd. The Capitol will be on your right.

Public Transit
From downtown Franklin, walk to the Franklin Transit Authority bus stop located at 4th Avenue South & Main Street. Take the Route 9 bus towards Nashville. Stay on the bus for approximately 25 minutes and get off at the stop for the Nashville Public Library. From there, walk northeast on 6th Avenue North for about 0.3 miles until you reach the Tennessee State Capitol located at 600 Dr. M.L.K. Jr Blvd.
