Breathtaking Vistas at Gatlinburg Scenic Overlook

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Gatlinburg Parkway, head south on the Parkway towards the Great Smoky Mountains National Park entrance. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with East Parkway (US-321). Cross the street carefully, and head onto East Parkway. Walk for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Gatlinburg Bypass. You will see a pedestrian bridge that connects you to the Gatlinburg Scenic Overlook. Follow the signs directing you towards the overlook, which is about a 10-minute walk from the pedestrian bridge.

• Public Transportation

  You can take the Gatlinburg Trolley, which has a stop at the Gatlinburg Parkway. Board the trolley and request to be dropped off at the 'Gatlinburg Bypass' stop. From there, follow the walking path along the Bypass towards the Gatlinburg Scenic Overlook. It is about a 15-minute walk from the trolley stop to the overlook. Make sure to check the trolley schedule for the latest departure times.

• Biking

  If you have access to a bike rental, head towards the Gatlinburg Parkway and follow it south. You will want to find the bike path that leads to East Parkway (US-321). Once on East Parkway, continue biking until you reach the Gatlinburg Bypass. There are bike lanes available for safety. The entire route is approximately 1.5 miles and should take around 10-15 minutes to reach the Gatlinburg Scenic Overlook.
