Williams Spring Park: A Natural Oasis in Columbia, Tennessee

Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start by heading south on Main Street from the center of Highland Rim. Continue straight for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with Highway 50. Turn left onto Highway 50. After approximately 8 miles, take the exit onto US-431 S toward Columbia. Continue on US-431 S for about 10 miles, then take the exit toward Columbia. Merge onto TN-99 S. After about 1 mile, follow the signs to Williams Spring Park. The park will be located on your right.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, check local bus schedules for routes that operate from Highland Rim to Columbia. You may need to take a bus to the Columbia Transit Center. From there, transfer to a local bus that heads towards Williams Spring Park. Make sure to check the bus times in advance, as service may be limited on weekends. There may be a small fare for each bus ride, typically around $1.50 to $2.00 per trip.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, take the same route as for cars until you reach US-431 S. Be cautious when biking on highways, and make sure to wear a helmet. The ride is approximately 20 miles and should take about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your speed. Look for bike lanes where available and plan for breaks, especially during warmer months.

• Walking

  Walking from Highland Rim to Williams Spring Park is not recommended due to the distance (about 20 miles). However, if you are determined to walk, follow the same road directions as the car route. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water, as this will take a significant time (around 6 hours) and effort.
