Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start by heading to Point Park located at 110 Point Park Rd, Lookout Mountain, TN 37350. From the main road (Tennessee Highway 41), turn onto W Brow Rd, and follow the signs directing you to Point Park. The entrance to Point Park, which is a part of the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, has a parking area. Please note that there is an entrance fee of $5 per person. Once parked, follow the well-marked trails leading to Roper's Rock, which is approximately a 0.5-mile hike uphill.

• Public Transportation

  If you're using public transportation, you will need to take a bus to downtown Chattanooga first. From there, take the Lookout Mountain Shuttle (if available) or a rideshare service to Point Park at 110 Point Park Rd, Lookout Mountain, TN 37350. Once you arrive at Point Park, there is a nominal fee of $5 per person to enter. After entering, follow the trails leading to Roper's Rock, which is about a 0.5-mile hike. Ensure you check the shuttle schedule beforehand, as it may not run frequently.

  For those staying nearby, you can walk to Roper's Rock directly from your accommodation if you are in Lookout Mountain. Navigate to Point Park at 110 Point Park Rd, Lookout Mountain, TN 37350. From Point Park, follow the trails that guide you to Roper's Rock. The hike is approximately 0.5 miles uphill, so be prepared for some elevation gain.
