Getting There

  • Walking

    From anywhere in East Nashville, head towards the pedestrian-friendly Shelby Street Bridge. Walk across the bridge, enjoying the views of the Cumberland River. After crossing, continue straight on 1st Avenue. Take a right onto Church Street and then a left onto 2nd Avenue N. The 2nd Avenue Historic District will be on your right, featuring a variety of historic buildings and tourist attractions.

  • Public Transit - Bus

    If you're near a bus stop in East Nashville, you can take the MTA bus route 34 (East Nashville to Downtown). Board the bus heading towards downtown and remain on the bus for about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the stop on 2nd Avenue N. The 2nd Avenue Historic District will be a short walk from there, just a few steps away on your left. Note that a one-way fare is approximately $1.70.
