Walking
If you are starting from the Oak Ridge City Center, head south on South Illinois Avenue. Continue walking for about 1.5 miles (25-30 minutes). You will pass by various shops and cafes along the way, which may be good for a quick stop. Once you reach 901 S Illinois Ave, you'll see the entrance to the University of Tennessee Arboretum on your left.

From the Oak Ridge Transit Center, take the Route 50 bus towards the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Stay on the bus for approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the stop nearest to the University of Tennessee Arboretum, which is the 'Oak Ridge High School' stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk south on South Illinois Avenue to reach the arboretum entrance at 901 S Illinois Ave.
