Car
If you're driving to Snooper's Rock from the center of Sequatchie Valley, start by taking TN-28 N (Duncan Bridge Rd) towards Dunlap. Continue for approximately 9 miles until you reach the junction with US-127 N. Turn right onto US-127 N and continue for about 11 miles. Merge onto I-24 E towards Chattanooga. After about 8 miles, take exit 178 for US-27 N toward Chattanooga. Continue for about 6 miles, then take the exit toward TN-29 N/Signal Mountain. Merge onto TN-29 N and continue for about 3 miles. Turn left onto Game Reserve Rd. Follow Game Reserve Rd for about 1 mile, and you will reach Snooper's Rock, which will be on your right. Parking is available along the road.
Public Transportation
Public transportation options are limited in Sequatchie Valley. However, you can take a bus from Dunlap to Chattanooga. Look for the Sequatchie Valley Transit bus service that operates routes to Chattanooga. Once in Chattanooga, you can take a taxi or rideshare service like Uber or Lyft to reach Snooper's Rock. The taxi ride from downtown Chattanooga to Snooper's Rock will take about 15-20 minutes and cost approximately $20-25, depending on traffic.
Hiking
If you're feeling adventurous and are already near the area, you can opt for a short hike to reach Snooper's Rock. There are several trails leading to the lookout point. The most popular trail starts at the parking area on Game Reserve Rd. The hike is moderately challenging and takes about 30-45 minutes to reach the top. Make sure to wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring plenty of water. The views from Snooper's Rock are well worth the effort.
