If you're traveling by car, the most common route to Johnsonville State Historic Park is to take Interstate 40. From Nashville, head west on I-40 for approximately 90 miles. Take exit 143 toward US-70 E and follow signs for New Johnsonville. After about 12 miles, turn left onto Nell Beard Rd. The park entrance will be on your right at 90 Nell Beard Rd, New Johnsonville, TN 37134. Parking is available on site at no additional cost.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, your best option is to take a Greyhound bus from Nashville to Waverly, TN. Upon arriving in Waverly, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach Johnsonville State Historic Park, which is approximately 15 miles west of Waverly. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance and plan your taxi or rideshare in advance as well.

For those adventurous enough to bike, you can use the same route as if you were driving. From Nashville, take Highway 70 along the scenic route which offers beautiful views of the Tennessee countryside. Ensure you have proper gear and safety measures in place.
